Trusting the delay
Nikolai and I were in a new city, and I told him I wanted this brand-new, limited edition golden makeup set (IDK why—I never buy stuff like that).
When we got to the shop, there was a huge line.
I excitedly stepped in, thinking it’d move quickly!
I waited in line for two whole hours. But it was fine because I was this close to the register!
Then, a younger woman came up to me and asked if she could join her family in front of me. Of course, I let her budge.
Finally, it was my time to shine!
I walked up to the register to buy my new treasure, only for the cashier to tell me she’d sold the last one to the woman I’d let cut in line.
Baffled, I asked the cashier next to her, but she confirmed—they were all out. 🤷♀️
I walked out of the store absolutely fuming, thinking, “GOD. Two hours of my life?! I shouldn’t have been so damn generous!”
As I was walking down the sidewalk between massive skyscrapers, a man stopped us and looked at me as if he knew me …
Shocked, he said, “Ashley? I can’t believe you’re here! An angel told me you’re looking for a house in the woods near the river. I was told I had to wait to tell you in person, but I was confused because you don’t live in my city … but here you are!”
Then I was suddenly in a new scene: inside a gorgeous dark A-frame home with HUGE windows overlooking the river and lush pine trees.
The kitchen was filled with vibrant pothos plants, and the aesthetic was cozy, warm, black, and woodsy. The natural light streaming through our new windows? Divine.
I was home.

The metaphor
It hit me, following my excitement to purchase that golden item led me to wait for two hours so I could cross paths with this person at the exact perfect time.
While the makeup set feels like a symbol of fleeting desires or external validation, the home represents my soul’s longing for true fulfillment.
My dream felt like a reminder from spirit that generosity, patience, and trust in divine timing opens doors to miracles we couldn’t have orchestrated ourselves.
I’m always being guided to let my heart lead rather than my mind, and I hope this dreamy message serves as a bridge to trusting in the magic and wisdom of your heart as well. :)
