I've spent the last few weeks absolutely fascinated by identity. 👀

How much of who we believe ourselves to be has been built from our memories, experiences, fears, beliefs, inherited or societal programming, and the stories we've collected along the way?

And if some of those things aren't nearly as fixed or reliable as they feel ... what does that mean about us?

That question sent me somewhere I wasn't expecting. In this episode of Insightful with Ashley Mondor, we're exploring the past, future, and present, the weird way our memories work, the stories our brains have learned to search for, and what can happen when we start giving our attention to something new.

I also share something deeply personal that took this exploration in an entirely different direction, along with a few pieces of wisdom that arrived at exactly the right time and made me wonder if identity was ever the real question in the first place. 👀

Inside the episode:

  • The strange unreliability of memory (based on studies) and what it made me wonder about the stories we build our identities from.
  • How our beliefs, emotions, nervous system, and attention shape what we're available to perceive.
  • A deeply personal experience in my family that sent me down an unexpected rabbit hole about identity and consciousness.
  • The simple evidence practice I use to help my brain notice more abundance, beauty, success, and possibility.
  • What my Let It Count experiment has been teaching me about receiving and the wonderfully weird ways abundance can show up.
  • The question I didn't realize I was actually exploring until the very end. 👀
